Superior Challenge 5: Pride & Fury is a mixed martial arts event, previously expected to be held by Superior Challenge on April 24, 2010 at Fryshuset in Stockholm, Sweden. However, due to the volcanic eruption on Iceland, the event was postponed to May 1, 2010.[1] It was the biggest nordic mixed martial arts event ever held.[2]

Background

This event is expected to gain great attendance with former UFC fighter Junie Browning fighting Sweden's Reza Madadi. Also on the fight card Tor Troeng taking on tough Rafael Silva from Portugal, and Sami Aziz taking on WEC veteran Jameel Massouh for the Superior Challenge belt.

Hamid Corassani was scheduled to fight Danny Batten, but Corassani was not cleared to fight due to bad physical condition.

Troéng defeated Silva via submission (triangle choke) at 2:54 of round 3.
Massouh defeated Aziz via unanimous decision at 05:00 of round 3 to become the first and became the first Superior Challenge featherweight champion.

Beverlöv defeated Abada via submission (triangle choke) at 03:31 of round 1.
Sillén defeated Grakulskyte via TKO (strikes) at 01:47 of round 1.
